Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, |
The last mission trip to Haiti was a success! We did not do as we planned, but did what God had on His agenda. We ministered to the people, lives were changed, and four souls were added to the eternal kingdom. God has been gracious to us and the people of La Gonave. |

During our trip last month, water was scarce due to the lack of rain; therefore mixing concrete was very difficult. We have sought expert advice of the continuation of the church building. The next steps will be to continue with the roofing since it will enable the people to collect rain water. Once water is gathered, the task of mixing the concrete to complete the floor will be less demanding. |

Thanks to you, the building construction is well underway. We are sending a container to Haiti with the building and roofing materials. As it will be cost effective to purchase and ship the materials in a container to the island rather than purchase the roofing materials in Haiti. We will also take the opportunity to send non perishable food, clothes, and shoes in the container. We need your help in collecting money to ship the forty foot container and help in collecting items to fill it. The container is schedule to leave for Haiti the end of May. |

Our next mission trip to Haiti is planned for July 5th to July 12th. The Lord lay on our hearts to spend one month in Haiti with our children. We will travel to Haiti mid June and wait for the team on July 5th. Together, God willing, we will travel back to the states on July 12th. Spending one month with the people in La Gonave will enable us to establish relationships, and commune with the people, and experience the Lord on the mission field. |

We have returned from our month long mission trip in Mapou Village, La Gonave, Haiti with a renewed affirmation that we are to continue the work the Lord has set before us. Praise the Lord for a successful trip. We obeyed and left our comfort zones with three small children. The Lord showed us that He was in charge and we should only keep our eyes on Him. |
We thank all who prayed, encouraged, and sent us believing God would answer our prayers. We praise Him for lessons learned during that trip: From Tampa Airport, we found out no tubs are allowed in the summer season to Haiti. We had four tubs with us and obliged to buy duffel bags at $30.00 each to replace the tubs we had. |

From Tampa Airport, we found out no tubs are allowed in the summer season to Haiti. We had four tubs with us and obliged to buy duffel bags at $30.00 each to replace the tubs we had.
-
The money we brought for our expenses during our month long trip was lost by the time we arrive in the PAP airport. We had just enough to fly us to our final destination to La Gonave, Haiti (with $5.00 dollars to spare) – We learned the Lord will provide.
-
We missed the aircraft flight out of the capital to the island upon our arrival – Because A/A was delayed more than two hours. God was to be in control and He had a special plan for us.
-
When we arrived we did not have the babies’ clothes in our luggage because we had to leave a quantity of belongings at the airport due to the aircraft weight restrictions. – We learned we did not need more than two articles of clothing on a mission’s trip- we can survive with less.
The forty foot container we had planned to send was postponed due to insufficient funds; however we went with the Word of the Lord. Several individuals renewed their walk with the Lord and some were saved accepting Jesus as their Savior. One such individual was a Voodoo priest named Onique Leandre. |
We want to remind you that the greatest problem of Haiti is not hunger, though people are starving; it is not poverty though people are poor, it is not political unrest, though there is revolution and turmoil… The people are under the dominion of Satan, the Bible says: the Shepard comes to free… but the thief comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. People are still practicing voodoo, what good can come from Satan? Haiti needs the Lord! This is why we are called on the field in Haiti. Remember to pray for Guerrier’s family in your daily prayers. |
Please continue pray for rain. While we were there it rained twice and water is very scarce. The building construction is looking great! The walls are completely up and the lintels were pour. Now we wait on the roofing materials to be bought and placed. After the roof is placed it will be used to collect rain water which will be used to mixed concrete to pour on the ground. |
| Dominique was to have vacation bible school with the children. We had no idea of what to expect, but knew God was going to do a great work. Dominique took one week to train young men/ladies to become the teachers to work alongside her. During the four daily morning sessions the children traveled miles and miles to hear the message to “Choose Jesus.” |
| Everyday more than one hundred twenty children came and listened to how they can choose to believe, obey, act, forgive, and to ultimately choose Jesus. The children had a wonderful life changing experience. Many stated how they had fun and clearly understood what was being taught from the God’s Word, but most of all they had unconditional love. Pray that God will bless us with some Bibles so we might be able to give some to those who accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord. |

Dear friends, |
The recent hurricanes have increased the misery in the impoverished nation of Haiti. We, Benis and Dominique Guerrier are missionaries to La Gonave Haiti. We have been serving the Lord in the village of Mapou by building a church/school building for the community. The project started last year with friends supporting the mission and teams working on the church building. |
The straw-thatched huts of people were destroyed from the hurricanes. They have no shelter to live or to find refuge. The building we started is the only one in the village. Please help us to raise the money to place the metal roof on that building. We are in urgent need to raise $10,000 to place that roof on the church/school building. |
Now the people of La Gonave desperately need the building completed to have a safe place of refuge. Many are without a home, due to the back to back storms destroying their primitive shelters. It would be a huge blessing to have the building covered in the next months. |
Please consider donating to the Mapou Village building project. We will purchase the roofing materials in Haiti. When we see those in heaven whom we have helped to get there, what a day of rejoicing that will be! We rejoice with you for the privilege of serving Him in a special way. |

Dear friends and families,
We, Dominique & Benis Guerrier, are very glad to share with you the journey God is taking us in La Gonave, Haiti. After two years of ongoing short-term mission trips to Haiti, our roles have changed. God has touched our lives to go to Haiti as full time missionaries. By going full term there are some preparations to be made. |
These are three needs to pray for us: |
Pray that we will be able to get rid of our mortgage; to be sold or rented out to a good family |
Pray that God will give us enough financial support to help us in the remote area, and for provision of our primary needs. |
Pray that God will prepare a place for us to live with our children in Mapou. |
Secondly, we are thanking God for what He is doing in Mapou. We thank you as well for your financial support and your prayers. We are now in the process to erect the metal roof. We will have a mission team going to Mapou on Dec 15 through Dec 22, 2008. Please pray for safe travels. We know some of you can not travel to see the wonderful job God is doing in the lives of the people in village, however, you can check our webpage at Harvest International to see more details. |
Funds are also being collected for the construction materials. For more details on how to donate, please contact Harvest International: 352-622-1818; or visit the above website; call Benis and Dominique Guerrier at 352-687-2625, or email: bguerrier1@yahoo.com. |
This past summer, our family spent one full month in Haiti getting to know the people and working on the church/school building. There were several people who accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Among them was a young 24-year old voodoo priest. He called us to tell us his life has changed and he is going to get married. Praise the Lord! Please pray for this young new believer in Christ. His name is Onique Leandre. |
| Pray that God will send people to help us on this Journey. “The Harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Luke 10:1-2) Paul said: "We always thank God for all of you, are mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3) |
