Hurricane Refugees

January 30, 2010 | Here are some pictures of the refugees arriving at Camp Mahanaim. These people (about 100 of them) are from the MEBSH (Baptist churches) in Port-au-Prince and they have no place to live in Port-au-Prince any more. We have told them that they can stay at least three months at Camp Mahanaim, and we will hopefully be able to provide food, clothing and shelter for them until they are ready to go back to Port-au-Prince to start rebuilding their lives.

We are thankful for food and supplies that have been donated, and also for funds that enable us to purchase enough food for the refugees.

February 5, 2010 | Today we set up a "slip and slide" on a big pile of vert-I-vert roots and had a lot of fun with the refugee children staying at the camp and the neighborhood kids.
