The Wray Family

The Wray family includes Rod and Debbie, and their five children: Carly (22), Christie (20), Tim (18), Kara (16), and Katie (6). The two oldest daughters have returned to Canada, so their family is smaller this year, but they are still very involved in Haiti and like to return often.
The Wrays lived in Southern Haiti for one year in 1990 doing church and school construction. They returned to Haiti several times between 1990 and 2003 mostly leading work/ministry teams. In September of 2003 they sold everything and moved back to Haiti with their whole family.

In 2003, the Wrays were invited to work on the MEBSH hospital here in Cayes. They have basically rebuilt the hospital over the past five years, but God has allowed them to be involved in many other ministries. Since 2004, together with a good Haitian friend who has Aids, they started an Aids support and feeding group, which continues to meet once a month. They have enjoyed participating with youth and sports, and have coached and taken local men's and women's volleyball teams to the Haiti National Volleyball championships three years.
They distribute food, clothing, and hurricane relief supplies, and they also distribute Christmas gift bags. They host medical teams, work teams, and ministry teams; additionally, they also work with a team of Haitian youth each Sunday doing Sunday School, and provide a feeding ministry to about 1000 of the poorest children in Cayes. Recently, God has blessed them with the opportunity to start the Camp Mahanaim ministry.
